The firm was established in Rome in 1893, starting off a family tradition which from the founder, passed on to her son, Francesco Fetti, and from him to Lucia Fetti and to her son, Marco Carnevali.
It certainly is the best known shop in Rome, cherished by all pen-lovers hunting for modern or antique items. The store is charming. Just a few steps away from the Pantheon, it is worth a visit, if only to enjoy looking at its windows: old pen-nibs and postcards from the thirties, together with a collection of antique pens, form an interesting and amusing portrait of past times. The shop has preserved its original features, both in its outer looks and in its philosophy, which hasn't changed since the owner's grandparents set up the activity.
Originally the firm used to sell writing items and high quality paper; among several illustrious customers, the Royal Family purchased at the shop their supply of paper.
At present, Stilo Fetti is definitely a leading firm in its field: trading and mending antique pens as well as modern ones of the best-known trade-marks. In addition to that, it also offers a first-rate choice of desk accessories and quality leather bags for professionals, both men and women.
