The hatter-shop was opened in 1857 by Domenico Troncarelli, great-grandfather of the present owner, and its trade has always been the same ever since.
The store offers a wide range of products: panamas, top hats, bowlers, as well as straw hats from Florence, cow-herd hats from Maremma, and other headgear from England.
